SEC in Review...

17-19 Apr 2008- It has been almost a month since the SEC's 45^th Annual Meeting.  The Conference office has tied up almost all of the loose ends.  It was a cathartic experience for the office, as it was the first annual meeting under the new administration. 

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in the meeting, those who attended and those who helped through prayer and/or laboring with us.  We extend a special thanks to Commissioned Disciples Covenant Church for taking on the registration portion of the meeting.  We would like to thank the wonderful women of New Life Covenant Church for hosting a beautiful luncheon for the women.  Also, we thank Kingdom Builders Covenant Church for rounding up so many of their members to host many of our events.  Lastly, a big thank you goes out to Jim Swanson who came up to ensure that Requaya's first time at bat went as planned. We thank all of you for contributing to a job well done.

Remember that ECC-Silverhill will be hosting the 46^th Annual Meeting next year.  We look forward to another wonderful time with the SEC family.  We pray that those who could not attend this year will meet us in Alabama.  

05 May 2008- Our Superintendent, Dr. Robert Owens, celebrated his birthday.  He enjoyed a great Cinco de Mayo lunch and played a little golf.  We pray that God blesses him this year and many years to come. 

SEC..Looking Ahead

21-24 June 2008-Green Lake, WI- The Feast will be here before we know it.  We are encouraging everyone to take part in the Covenant reunion.  There are many events planned.  For more information, please visit www.covchurch.org.

20 Sept 08- St. Petersburg, FL- The Conference is continuously providing opportunities for us to continue our mission of having healthy and strong churches.  To support this effort, Dr. John S. Wenrich, Covenant Director of Congregational Vitality, is doing a seminar entitled "Veritas, Telling the Truth About Revitalization".  On September 20, 2008 in St. Petersburg, FL, Faith Covenant Church will be hosting the seminar.  Please contact Debbie Wade at Faith Covenant at (727)525-1699 if you plan on attending.

      Robert Owens- traveling mercies as much of his time has been and remains to be spent traveling this month.

      Executive Board- smooth transition and guidance, as new members were elected at the Annual Meeting

      Traveling mercies for those traveling to and from the Feast to be a part of a great time of fellowship

      Safe Summer- as many children have already began their summer vacations
